La Piedra Encantada. 1994

Blast from the past. In the mid 90's I was traveling alot to Mexico with my grandmother. There are many legends associated with the town where my maternal family is from. There is a wall that tells a story of a rock that opens and time stands still for whoever enters the open rock. I caught a self portrait using 2 negatives and 2 enlargers.

The Rebel Sessions... 1995

PHOTO:FUNAKI

Here is a blast from the past image I made in 1995. It's a very Dennis Stock inspired image using that Rebel feel. I took some really nice images of my friend Tyler.

El Indio Amazonico

I took this image of my good homie "El Indio Amazonico". He is an old wise man who gives alot of advice to street photographers. He reminds me of what it might have been like to have a village elder telling stories of the past around a fire. I call him "El Indio". Maybe I should ask him his real name one day. I hope it's something cool like "running bear" or something. He might just say "oh, my real name is Justin"
